High-altitude desert under an enormous sky.
About the destination
Ladakh sits between 3,000 and 5,300 m, a cold high-altitude desert of bare ridges, turquoise lakes and centuries-old Buddhist monasteries. Most trips start in Leh with a mandatory acclimatisation day, then fan out to Nubra, Pangong and the monastery circuit. It rewards slow, well-planned travel far more than a rushed schedule.
